Carmellina Borges, RN and Victor Borges, MD, Clinical Fellowship Endowment

This fellowship was created in 2016 by Dr. Victor Borges in memory of his late wife, Carmellina, who worked as a RN for many years. This need-based fellowship is to support graduate students who are enrolled in one of the clinical degree doctoral programs in healthcare with first preference given to a student in the Doctoral of Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice degree program, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Regardless of nationality, the fellowship will be awarded to students who were born in India, or at least one parent born in India, with preference given to students who were born in the state of Goa, India or have at least one parent who was born in the state of Goa, India. Student must complete a FAFSA and demonstrate financial need as defined by the University’s Office of Financial Aid.
